Bethany Erickson-Caron, NP
Bethany Erickson-Caron earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Northern Colorado, her School Nurse Teacher certification from Roger Williams and her Masters of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to joining Coastal Medical she gained Occupational Health experience at Landmark Hospital and VNA Care New England. Bethany joined Coastal in 2008.
Joshua E. Fischer, MD
Joshua Fischer, MD is a graduate of Brown University Medical School and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Rhode Island and the Miriam hospitals. He joined Coastal Medical in August, 2013.
Dr. Fischer practices full-scope primary care for adults. His special interests are nutrition, weight loss, and disease prevention. He also writes a health and wellness blog full of practical thoughts on eating well, staying healthy, and how patients can thrive in our complicated medical system. Dr. Fischer is board certified in Internal Medicine. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School, and serves on Coastal Medical's board of directors.

Luis A. Osorio, MD
Dr. Luis Osorio graduated from the Universidad Central de Venezuela School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of St. Raphael in New Haven, CT. Some of his professional interests include primary care and preventive medicine, clinical research, and diabetes. His personal interests include fitness, baseball, football, Brazilian soccer, skiing, and Latin/Brazilian music.
Sara A. Petit, MSN, NP
Sara Petit received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island with a specialty in adult-gerontology. Before joining Coastal Medical, she worked at William W. Backus Hospital and University Neurology. She joined Coastal Medical in 2014.
Matthew W.G. Propert, MD
Dr. Matthew Propert is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Brown Internal Medicine Residency at Rhode Island Hospital, Miriam Hospital, and Providence VA Medical Center. In his free time, Dr. Propert enjoys playing soccer, hiking and spending time with his family.
Jing Tang, MD
Dr. Jing Tang is a graduate of Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center in New York State.
Dr. Tang is interested in preventative medicine. As a primary care physician, she strives to create long-term relationships with her patients. Dr. Tang states, "My goal is to improve community health awareness, patients' access to healthcare and to decrease hospitalization." She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Michelle Woolfrey, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, AGNP-C
Michelle Woolfrey received a Masters of Nursing Science from the University of Melbourne and the University of Rhode Island as well as a Post-Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island. She has worked as an RN at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Evans Park, an assisted living community in Massachusetts. Michelle has been with Coastal Medical since 2015 and focuses on health promotion and disease prevention.
Deqiang Zhang, MD
Dr. Dequiang Zhang sees patients at East Providence Internal Medicine in Building 6 at 450 Veteran's Memorial Parkway beginning January 1, 2017.
Dr. Zhang completed his residency at Saint Peter's University Hospital an affiliate of Drexel University college of Medicine, New Brunswick, NJ. He received his medical degree from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China.
